Known in Heaven

When the Kingdom of God comes into a region, everything changes. Darkness retreats, lives are restored, and the name of Jesus is lifted high. That’s the kind of impact and influence you are called to carry.

This week, we begin looking at how God gives us spiritual authority—the kind of authority that causes heaven to recognize your name and makes hell take notice. This isn’t about titles or positions. It’s about relationship.

True spiritual authority flows from knowing God—and being known by Him.

In Acts 19, we read about seven men who tried to imitate Paul’s ministry. They saw his miracles, his boldness, and the power of God flowing through him. But when they tried to cast out demons “in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches,” the evil spirit responded,

“Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”
— Acts 19:15

There were some who saw Paul’s impact.
They wanted to capitalize off his influence.
They wanted Paul’s power without bowing to Paul’s Lord.

Those men wanted power without relationship. But Paul walked in power because he walked in intimacy. Heaven knew him because he knew God. His authority wasn’t borrowed—it was birthed from time spent in the presence of God.

Psalm 139 reminds us that God already knows everything about you—your thoughts, your words, your ways. But John 10 tells us something even deeper: that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, wants you to know Him.

“I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”

When you know the voice of your Shepherd, you walk with confidence. You don’t have to imitate someone else’s anointing or borrow someone else’s authority—you walk in the power of the Spirit that lives in you.

You are known by God. You are loved by God. And when you walk in that truth, the darkness around you trembles.

Reflection

Do you recognize the voice of God in your daily life? What would it look like for you to walk with the confidence that heaven knows your name?

Prayer

Father, thank You that You know me completely and love me fully. Teach me to know Your voice more deeply. Let my confidence and authority come from my relationship with You. Help me to walk in Your power, filled with Your Spirit, so that Your kingdom advances wherever I go.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
