Dear Church Family and Friends:
Today is the fifth anniversary of Skyway Church here at our Goodyear campus. On October 31, 2004, we opened our doors with double services. We came from a smaller campus by Luke Air Force Base with about 500 members to our new destination. We came to this city with a great sense of destiny and faith, and now host over 1100 people in our weekly services, 1500 members, and over 1000 monthly web viewers. Our ministry has grown around the world to include connecting with over 38,000 believers in India, hundreds in Croatia, and a television ministry now reaching into 26 countries around the world. We have aligned with other ministries to fulfill the mission to make disciples of all the nations. We give the Lord Jesus Christ all the glory for His abundant grace has been upon us during this entire time. I want to thank each of you for making Skyway Church a place for people to come and feel welcome, find God’s healing and experience His Presence when we gather. We are known all over the world as a very special and unique community of believers. I thank God for everyone who has sacrificed, prayed, and served over all these years. This year’s conference is “The Healing River of God.” Our special speakers will include, Che Ahn, Chuck Pierce, Peter Wagner, Doris Wagner, Bill Sudduth and Greg Brown. It is a great blessing to be aligned with such wonderful leaders in the modern day Church. These speakers travel the world literally reaching and equipping tens of thousands through out the year and they will be right here with us for three days! There is a powerful impartation from the anointing of these leaders when you come and participate in person. Dear Skyway Family and Friends:
As most of you know we have determined to not host our annual Fall Festival this year. We prayerfully believe that our resources spent for that one night can be better utilized to care for our own families as we help see everyone through the holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are preparing to have boxed meals for families in need and presents for parents to give to their children at Christmas. It is important that we continue to be a light to our community on October 31. The Youth Group will be going to the AZ State Fair. It is going to host “All day long Christian music” Jars of Clay will be the main band they will see. Families in our church are planning parties in their homes so if you have children contact the Hoffmans or the church office to find out what is available for your family. If you stay at home, get some gospel tracts and put them in the bag with the candy when visitors come to your door. These are some practical ways we can be in the community and shine for Jesus every day of the year.

Dear Skyway Family and Friends:
I have just completed 18 months of serving on the City of Goodyear Ethics Committee. Our team has created an Ethics Handbook for city employees, elected officials and volunteers which was presented to the City Council for approval on September 28th. This was a tremendous experience in working with other leaders in our community to develop a code of ethics for respectful community advancement in our city. This week I will be joining Mayor Cavanaugh as he has invited me to be a part of the Mayor’s Faith Community Roundtable. Goodyear is currently in the process of recruiting a full time Faith Based Community Outreach Coordinator who will work in bringing social services together to better our city. It is an honor to see God opening these doors of influence at this time. Please pray for me to have wisdom and favor as I work with our city leaders. Let’s all continue to love our neighbors and be a light that shines for the Hope of Jesus Christ to those around us.
