Easter/Special Guest

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 3:36 pm

Dear Church family:

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching. We are seeing momentum and favor as the day nears. I have a sense that what we are doing is for our region, not just our church. As we pray around the clock starting April 3, we should focus our prayers for the spiritual hunger in our area to increase. Let’s ask God to fill every church on Easter Sunday. Let’s pray for the miracle power of God to be experienced by people at all places of worship. Let’s believe that every sanctuary in our Valley will be filled and experiencing God’s best while we are gathering and filling the stadium. I see the prayer time during the Easter service to be filled with hope, power, and the opening of heaven’s gates. There will be a sound released when we worship and pray that will literally open the gates of supply into our region. There are economic strategies in heaven for this area that have not been grasped; they will connect after this special service. Our heavenly assignment is to benefit all the people and churches around us. Thank you for your prayers and support as we advance.

Returning From England

Dear Church Family:

I have just returned from England, the land where great awakening of the past once burned and a new outpouring is gaining momentum. I had the privilege of sharing the word of the Lord and our testimony with leaders from many nations and one powerful local church in London. London is a city of many people from different nations, the congregation at Oasis Church consists of over fifty different nationalities. They are all hungry for Jesus and the modern move of the Holy Spirit. They filled their building every night with expectation for God to move. On Sunday, the altar call for salvation saw several people come forward before the message was spoken. Their hunger for God drew the word of the Lord out of me while I was preaching and ministering. The outpouring of the Spirit was very strong with signs and wonders. People remained in prayer lines after the service ended for over an hour and a half. Finally it was time for me to go home with my host family as they waited for me in their car. It is a tremendous honor and blessing to serve the Church in this hour. Revival is coming and revival is here! God has blessed us with a forerunner anointing to release in this modern day. I encourage each of us to fervently pray for the lost to come to Jesus, miracles to take place daily and for the precious Presence of our Lord to fill our services each week. It is a great blessing to be home with all of you again.

Hope Arising on the Horizon

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 3:33 pm

Dear Church family:
This week I will be going to England to minister in two HIM conferences with Che Ahn. I will then be speaking at Oasis Church next Sunday. Pastor Dawn will be speaking in all three services while I am away. Please keep both of us in prayer for the entire week. We will have the new book, Navigating the Crisis available at all three services on March 14-15. There was a shipping problem this week and I did not want to have a partial launch. It is going to be great to share the book with you personally when I return. I will also be sharing some exciting news with you about how we can all work together to promote our Hope Arising Easter Sunday Crusade on that week end. We were able to hit our financial goal last week to cover our stadium, stage and sound. Keep up the great effort. Together we will see God move in wonderful ways.

A Word From Sam

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 1:52 pm

Dear Friends and Church Family:
This week I am ministering with Che Ahn and HIM ministries in England. Today I would like to share with you an update from Pastor Sam for this years Easter service.

Greetings Everybody:

Let’s remember to continue to pray for Pastor Greg as he will be traveling today and arriving back in Phoenix sometime on Monday.

Our Easter outreach “Hope Arising” is fast approaching. We have 4 Sunday’s left before April 12th. What a fun time we will have together welcoming in all the families from the community that will be there that morning. I want to say thank you to all of you that have volunteered to be a part of a ministry team that day.

Even if you’re not on a specific ministry team you can be the ultimate greeter/host by welcoming & greeting everybody that sits by you in your section of the stadium. This is something that we are all doing together. Just imagine how it will make people feel when they are greeted with a “Good morning, thank you for coming, its good to see you today.” Each family will be greeted 4 times before they sit down, then you come into play and greet them again. Wow, that will be God’s love in action through all of us.

I want to remind everyone to invite and bring at least 4 friends or family members. Let’s fill the stadium up. Remember to be praying every week and use the Prayer Focus guide on the

Lord ’s Supper table and in the bulletin. I love all you guys, be blessed!

Hope Arising Update

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 2:27 pm

Dear Church Family:

I want to update everyone on our progress with the Easter Sunday Crusade, Hope Arising which is scheduled for April 12, 2009 at the new Cleveland Indians Baseball Stadium. We have been blessed to receive four hundred and three volunteer cards with well over five hundred volunteers listed up to this point. This is awesome! We have our weekly prayer strategy being given out each week and I ask everyone to continue to uplift our service in prayer and to continue inviting your friends to join us on this special day. Here are some key dates to remember.

Thursday March 5th Leaders Training Meeting 7:00 – 8:00 PM Sanctuary
All volunteers will be contacted by your leaders after this meeting.
Wednesday April 1st All volunteers training session 8:00 – 8:30; worship and ministry will start at 7:00 PM with everyone asked to attend this special prayer service.

Our first financial goal is $13,000.00. This will cover renting the stadium, the sound system, and the stage. I am asking everyone to give a sacrificial gift for this to be raised this week. So far we have raised about $3,000.00 towards the event. I will be writing to you each week as the date approaches to keep everyone informed of our progress and needs.

Thank you,
Pastor Greg
