Giving, Serving, and Loving in 09

As we close our year of 2008 I am filled with thanksgiving. The Lord has done so much for all of us in so many different ways. The manifestations of God’s Spirit and goodness have not only been invisible or spiritual; they have been very real and tangible. We have seen hundreds of people decide to make Jesus their Lord and Savior. Physical and financial miracles have come into many of our lives. We have increased our weekly discipleship to over five hundred in our training classes. Over two hundred people have seen the Spirit touch their life through the new Life Coaching on Wednesday nights. Our social helps ministry All Faith Community Services is now serving over 3000 people per month in supplying food, clothing, job training and spiritual hope. I see many of you becoming the hands and feet of Jesus to care for others less fortunate. Our outreaches at Thanksgiving and Christmas revealed a new level commitment from all of you. I want to take this time to personally thank you for all you have done and are doing. Your life is revealing Jesus to our community in a new way.

The Seven Mountains

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 3:14 pm

The Seven Mountains is a modern strategy for us to see the nations of this world reached with the message of the kingdom of God. We have been very focused on winning souls for salvation in all the nations of the world, but Jesus challenged us to make disciples of the nations. This is more than winning souls, it is a commissioning to see entire nations following God’s principles for a successful, healthy society permeating the nations of the world. When this happens, they will see the value of the Lordship of Jesus Christ for eternity in heaven and life on this earth. In this series I am sharing how you can find God’s plan for your life right in the place he has planted you. Our mission is far greater than going to church on Sunday and work on Monday. We are called to be equipped to bring the culture of God’s kingdom into all the current mind moulders of society today. When we see our world and our mission in this new way life is filled with purpose and excitement. These messages are going to equip you to shift the culture of your mountain or sphere of influence for the glory of God.

A Confession to Succeed

Filed under: Pastor Greg's Blog — gbrown @ 3:13 pm

We are seeing extreme economic challenges in our nation and in the world. We are continually bombarded with negative information regarding our future and we reinforce this information with negative confessions about ourselves and our nation on a daily basis. It is very important for us to change our minds and our confession as we move into a new season. We have to begin to pray the word of God over our lives, our jobs and our businesses to bring in the resources God wants us to steward as we expand the kingdom of God to all the nations of the world. The most important weapon we have to break free is the written word of God. I have included Dueteronomy 8:18 with my word study commments in parentesis. I have also included a daily prayer of confession we should declare every day. We must believe that it is God’s will for us to have good jobs, provide for our families and see the Kingdom expanded at this time.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)
18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth (my assignment from God)  thee power  (the ability to adapt and change regardless of circumstances) to get (give birth through supernatural creativity and travail) wealth, that he may establish his covenant (the blessings of all the nations with the knowledge and power of the kingdom of God) which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

My confession to succeed

I will find, know and accept my assignment from the Father

•I will accept God’s ability to change regardless of my circumstances and move forward into his plan for my life.

•I will give birth through supernatural ability to the vision he is giving me.

I will succeed because I am in covenant with the Father through Jesus Christ.
